Meet the Doctor

Originally born in Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Jamie Ko moved to Canada at a young age and was raised in Hamilton, Ontario. She then attended Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario where she completed her undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences degree. It was early on that she decided dentistry was the ideal career, combining her passion for hands on creativity and science in a way that can help people smile and feel healthy. To that end, she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry.

Dr. Ko believes oral and general health are intimately related and she strives to partner with her patients to make positive changes in both of these areas. Nothing gives confidence like a beautiful smile, and Dr. Ko’s goal is to get you there with her compassionate, caring and meticulous nature. She attends many continuing education courses to stay ahead of the latest advances in dentistry so her patients receive the best evidence-based care possible. She also has provided dental care in remote communities including Haliburton, Ontario and abroad in Honduras and Mexico. Her number one goal is to change the negative narrative about dental treatment and turn your appointment into a positive and pleasant experience.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Ko enjoys good food, taking care of her plants, playing the piano and staying active. As a new Calgarian she has fallen in love with the Rockies and the great outdoor life Alberta has to offer. If you have any recommendations for new activities, let her know!

Dr. Ko is fluent in English and Korean and currently accepting new patients.
