Bioclear in Calgary, Alberta

Many people have imperfections on their teeth like cracks, chips, gaps between them, or discolorations. These flaws can keep some people from smiling or laughing because they are embarrassed by them. Our dentists have many ways to correct the damage to teeth. One of these treatments we can provide is Bioclear® dental treatment.

What is Bioclear?

Bioclear is a noninvasive way to repair minor to moderate damage to your teeth or correct imperfections like gaps or spaces between teeth, discolorations, and more. It is best described as an alternative to veneers and a type of bonding that repairs teeth or hides the imperfections on them.

What is the Bioclear Process?

Before starting the process of adding composite resins to the fronts of your teeth, our dentist will push back the gums from the areas that need repairing. Afterward, they will clean the teeth to get rid of stains, plaque, and tartar buildup, as well as decay-causing bacteria.

Selecting the Shape

Part of the process of making your teeth look new again with Bioclear composite bonding is for our dentist to wrap the tooth or teeth with a matrix mold. Once it’s around the tooth, they will inject heated composites into the molds.

How Bioclear Dries

Light activation helps to dry the composites once the over-molding takes place. Light activation is also known as ultraviolet polymerization. So, a UV light is necessary to harden the material on your teeth, which helps make them look great.

Unlike regular veneers, it’s unnecessary to prep your teeth. This means that our dentist doesn’t need to remove enamel to make room for veneers. The matrix molds help the composites stay in place.

After the teeth bonding, our dentist will shape the composites and polish them to fit in with your natural teeth. Bioclear bonding often avoids ledges, lips, or other places where bacteria can hide and multiply, endangering your teeth. With a tight fitting seal, we can not have these “food traps” and keep your gums healthy too.

Once the process is over, you will have stronger, newer-looking teeth. Your natural teeth will be intact and looking much better than they did before you underwent the Bioclear process. Another advantage of this process is the cost. It usually costs a lot less than traditional veneers. Please contact us for an exact quote.
